OBJECTIVE 3:

Engage mainstream organizations

The project team in collaboration with funded projects and the advisory committee will design a strategy, outreach and engage key mainstream organizations.

Engagement efforts will be evaluated regularly and strengthened through new resources, including policy briefs, funding and programming recommendations. This work will be further supported by the ACT Now! Conferences in 2025 and 2026 and by ongoing improvements to the Black Wellness Network website to enhance accessibility and user engagement, ensuring mainstream organizations are active partners in advancing equitable health and wellness outcomes.

Key activities:

  • Identify and connect with mainstream organizations and institutions
  • Offer tailored and Afrocentric knowledge mobilization support workshops
  • Periodically evaluate the outcomes of these engagements

Expected outcomes:

  • More mainstream organizations engaged
  • Increased institutional awareness and commitment to Black mental health equity
